- In a 2 Qt. saucepan, melt butter and slowly whisk in flour until it forms a thick paste. Continue to cook on med heat for 2 minutes, stirring frequently..
- Whisk heavy cream into mixture, bring to simmer for around 2min..
- Remove sauce from heat and slowly whisk in pecorino romano cheese until the Mornay sauce is smooth..
- Add salt, pepper & nutmeg..
- Assemble Brown using bread, turkey, tomatoes. Pour sauce over all. Sprinkle with additional cheese..
- Place in oven at 350°for about 20min or until cheese is brown and melted..
- Top with bacon. Sprinkle with parsley and paprika and serve..
- I have used artisan rosemary bread as well for an added pop of flavor..
